Smruti Soumitra Khuntia is a Senior Cloud Architect at IBM Cloud with over 15 years of professional work experience in Cloud technologies and Cloud Native products design and development. He is an expert in Kubernetes and Cloud Native technologies, OpenStack Community Contributor, Docker, and Microservices based Architecture. With vast experience in working in IT industries both offshore and onsite, he has developed Cloud systems software, 3PL application software, banking software, educational products, and platform management products. Smruti has extensive work experience in Cinder Block Storage and Swift Object Storage and is an OpenStack specialist. He has hands-on experience in developing OpenStack-based services using Python and expertise in x-86 platform-based virtualization. He is also an expert in Java-based programming, including core and advanced Java (JAVA-JEE technologies, Spring, Struts, Hibernate), and has in-depth knowledge of designing and developing Java-based applications. Throughout his career, Smruti has managed teams and led various projects in various companies for over four years. He has presented demo and posters at various IBM-held events and has around eight months of onsite experience for onsite coordination/development and requirement gathering. He is well-versed in various application development methodologies, including DevOps, agile, Waterfall model, etc. Smruti's current position is Senior Cloud Architect at IBM Cloud: India Software Lab. He previously worked as a Senior Staff Software Engineer - Cloud System Software Developer and Staff Software Engineer at IBM, where he developed and supported IBM Systems Director product with expertise in Discovery, Request Access, and Inventory Component. Smruti holds a B.Tech degree in Electronics & Communication from KIIT University (2001-2005) and Metriculation from Kendriya Vidyalaya (1994-1998).
